Texas City Explosion

I was standing upon a wharf on the Galveston harbor when I heard an explosion, like thunder rolling across the water. My first instinct was to call news reporter Jack Williams at KUHF, the radio station I used to work for, then I started snapping pictures (one of which was published in the online edition of the Houston Chronicle as part of a "Readers' Photos" display). Later I found out that fifteen people had been killed.
